> July 9th, 2011 ---

With so many video game systems on the market and in homes today it is hard to specify the best rated family games for children. There are board games, card games, video games, the list goes on about all the different types of games that are available today. Video games are the current favorite among children. Depending on the age of the child the favorite games and favorite game systems are going to vary. Some top games for the Nintendo Wii are Disney Epic Mickey, Wii Party, Super Mario Galaxy 2, uDraw Game Tablet, and Endless Ocean: Blue World. The Playstation 3, or PS3 seems to be the favorite video game system on the market right now. There are numerous great games but just a few include: Disney Sing It: Family Hits, Toy Story 3, NBA2K11, Hasbro Family Game Night 3, and Call of Duty: Black Ops which should only be played by older children. Call of Duty: Black Ops is rated M for mature but most of the older kids love it. It does have some profane language in it that would appall many of us, but there is a setting prior to creating profiles that allows you to disable the bad language. Another popular game system is the XBox 360. I think it is safe to say that Rock Band is the favorite game for kids and adults of all ages. Also it is a game the entire family can play. With this game someone sings, another person plays drums, you can have up to two guitars, and it is a great time for everyone who plays. A couple of more popular games for the XBox 360 are Kinect Sports, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters, LEGO Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars, and Major League Baseball 2K11. There are lots of great games on the market for the varying video game systems. It is also convenient to purchase age appropriate games because the games come with rating systems the same as movies do. Any of the above-mentioned games are sure to be loved by your kids, but for a family game the one that is most fun to play where all can participate is Rock Band on the XBox 360.Related Article : Call of Duty: Black Ops Escalation Map Pack announced
